A regional hospital system sought out to study a new approach at its on-site cancer center. The TERVA Design Solutions Team, trusted advisors to the hospital, was brought in to strategize design options for a new radiation oncology program.
Assess, Plan, Propose
The TERVA Design Solutions Team began by studying the site of the building and subsequently developed a building program. The Team compiled information, prepared graphical massing studies of a new cancer center building, and provided a cost estimate. The Team also formulated a full “basis of design” document coordinating the engineering scope and performed a patient bed floor test to demonstrate future possibilities of bed expansion connected to the existing hospital.
The TERVA Design Solutions Team was successful in providing the hospital with options to review for planning the new radiation oncology program.
