TERVA ENGINEERING PARTICIPATES IN WENTWORTH’S WORKSHOP

TERVA was honored to be a part of Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Architecture Studio Consultant Workshop on July 10, 2023. Christopher Davis, Director of Commissioning for TERVA Engineering, attended the Workshop and was excited to assist students with their projects.

The project for Wentworth’s School of Architecture and Design Program this semester was for Student Teams to design a new community-based maker space inspired by the Autodesk Instructables community. Wentworth plans “Consultant’s Week” for Student Teams to prepare their design work for a consultation and workshop with Design Professionals and Professional Engineers. Student Teams and Consultants collaborate on the design of building systems and their integration into a semester long architectural design project.

Chris worked with several architectural students on their projects assisting with design and HVAC solutions. He and the students marked up drawings to help size for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection spaces and he assisted them with planning of locations for the HVAC equipment on the roof along with sizing of duct and pipe shafts.

The Consultant’s Week program at Wentworth has been a great success providing students an opportunity to work in person with design and engineering professionals. TERVA was thrilled to be a part of the Program this year!
